The sequel to Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has a targeted release date of 2014 or 2015.

Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are already signed to reprise their roles of David and Elizabeth Shaw.

New writers may be coming onboard as apparently Damon Lindelof might not be available.

“Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can’t rush it,” says Fox president of production Emma Watts to THR.

This June saw Prometheus bring in a less than expected gross of $303 million from a $130 million budget.

CBN’s own Lawrence Napoli said in his movie review for Prometheus, “The way I see it, without the Alien films, Prometheus would have nothing going for it because at the end of the day people want to see the moment that explains why human beings are the ideal host body for the most feared alien predator the universe has come to know, and guess what? This film implies exactly that at the very end, so get your tents packed up to wait outside the theater for the sequel because it’s going to happen.”
