In addition to the NYCC announcement and high-res posters, Bill Hader has been announced to join the cast of Power Rangers as Alpha 5.
In the previous shows, Alpha 5 is the robot who physically interacts with the Power Rangers and acts as Zordon’s liason. Alpha 5 is known for is trademark “Aye-yi-yi-yi-yi!” whenever the Power Rangers are in trouble, and Alpha 5 also helps create various weapons to use against the villains.
Bill Hader is known for SNL, Inside Out, Superbad, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, Venture Bros. and more.
“Power Rangers” has a March 24, 2017 release starring Becky G as Trini, the Yellow Ranger; RJ Cyler as Billy, the Blue Ranger; Naomi Scott as Kimberly, the Pink Ranger; Ludi Lin as Zack, the Black Ranger; Dacre Montgomery as Jason, the Red Ranger, and Elizabeth Banks stars as the villain, Rita Repulsa, with Bryan Cranston as Zordon.
