Pom Klementieff Confirmed As Mantis For Guardians of the Galaxy 2

Just was we thought, it’s now confirmed Pom Klementieff will be playing Mantis for James Gunn in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Deadline reports a source filled them in that after Marvel conducted a wide search for an actress of Asian descent they went with Klementieff who will play Mantis.

Mantis was a part of the Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy comic book that inspired the billion dollar Guardians of the Galaxy franchise for Disney and Marvel. DnA used Mantis as a counselor in the group, and Star-Lord had Mantis use her mind powers to manipulate the group into joining the team.

“Guardians of the Galaxy 2” has a May 4, 2017 release.
