Peacemaker is officially back. Following the recent trailer, a new Season 2 sizzle reel was released during CCXP Mexico, where James Gunn and John Cena made an appearance for the DCU.
The behind-the-scenes video offers a first look at what fans can expect when the DC series returns, including a new look at Michael Rooker, featuring quick teases of returning cast, new action, and plenty of chaos.

Max has set the premiere date for Peacemaker Season 2: Thursday, August 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The new season follows Peacemaker as he wrestles with his past while sticking to his over-the-top mission of bringing peace—by any means necessary. He’s still mostly going it alone, but this time he’s got backup.
Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick are all back. New cast members include Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., reprising his role from Creature Commandos and Superman, along with David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows.
James Gunn wrote all eight episodes and directed three, including the premiere. He executive produces with Peter Safran and John Cena. Other directors this season include Greg Mottola, Peter Sollett, and Althea Jones.
