The Paper—an offshoot / spinoff of The Office—debuts September 4 on Peacock. The new mockumentary comes from the same fictional documentary crew that followed the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin. This time, they’ve set their cameras on a struggling newspaper in the Midwest.

New Setting, Familiar Style
The crew relocates from Scranton to Toledo, Ohio, to document the revival of the Toledo Truth-Teller, a historic local paper. The new series follows a passionate publisher trying to bring the paper back to life using a team of volunteer reporters.
The show launches with four episodes on September 4. Two new episodes will follow each Thursday through September 25.

Behind the Scenes
The Paper comes from The Office creator Greg Daniels and Nathan for You co-creator Michael Koman. Both serve as writers and executive producers. The production also involves The Office alums Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, and Ben Silverman, alongside Banijay Americas and Universal Television.

The series stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and Oscar Nuñez.
