It is reported that 22-year-old Noah Centineo is in talks to star as He-Man in the Sony Pictures and Mattel Masters of the Universe movie that has been in the works for a while.
Noah Centineo is known for the Netflix film To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Freeform’s The Fosters and has even been rumored for the new The Batman.
Going with Noah Centineo would be a vastly different approach to the character as He-Man is blond and muscular, so this is a rather questionable choice.
The latest details for the Masters of the Universe movie include that it was announced in January to have a new director, Adam Aaron Nee, and pair of writers with Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.
Adam Aaron Nee is known for Band of Robbers, with Art Marcum and Matt Holloway known for Iron Man, Punisher: War Zone, Transformers: The Last Knight and Men in Black: International.
The He-Man Masters of the Universe movie also has David S. Goyer onboard as producer, who wrote a previous draft of the script.
Masters of the Universe is based on the popular 80’s He-Man action figure line that spawned an animated series and a movie in 1987 starring Dolph Lundgren as the titular character.
