Nicolas Cage offers that if given the chance he would like to tackle a villain role and suggests either Joker or Doctor Doom.
The actor, who previously played Ghost Rider and almost Superman, filled in JoBlo:
I mean, I think my comic book days are kind of…I’m on to other things, but I always thought I’d make a great Joker and I always thought that I would’ve been a good villain in one of the Marvel [movies] like Doctor Doom. But, Doctor Doom you have to wear that mask, but I thought the story leading up to Doctor Doom could’ve been interesting. At this point if I was to go back into the format it would probably have to be as a villain.
Nicolas Cage offers Joker would be a perfect fit.
It would be the perfect one for me to go even more off the rails than I’ve ever done before and, y’know, it’d be fun.
Nicolas Cage starred as the Spirit of Vengeance in the 2007 Ghost Rider movie and its sequel in 2012, with the films grossing around $400 million.
Regarding almost playing the Man of Steel, Nicolas Cage was up to play the character in Superman Lives for Tim Burton; however, the project never got off the ground.
The good news is that Nicolas Cage is voicing Superman in the upcoming Teen Titans animated movie.
What do you think of his comments? Would Nicolas Cage be a good villain role as Joker or Doctor Doom?
