Netflix Reveals First Look At Addams Family In 'Wednesday'

Ahead of tomorrow’s trailer, Netflix has released a first look at the cast of the Addams family in the Wednesday series.

Update: Netflix has renewed the series for Season 2.

The images feature a look at Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Wednesday (Jenna Ortega), Gomez (Luis Guzmán), and Puggsley (Isaac Ordonez).

The details for the series include that Wednesday is on her own after she is expelled from her “normal” human high school over an incident involving piranhas, Wednesday is sent away to Nevermore Academy, a school for unique students. What she discovers there is a tantalizing, bloody murder mystery — and maybe, just maybe, a few friends as odd as she is.

While The Thing isn’t present in the photos, the first teaser released a couple of months ago did show off the hand. See below.

Wednesday also stars Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones, The Sandman) as school administrator Larissa Weems, and Christina Ricci (who played Wednesday in the ’90s Addams Family films) plays the role of Nevermore dorm mom Marilyn Thornhill.

The series debuts in the Fall and comes from the mind of Tim Burton (Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow) who directed several of Wednesday’s episodes, and creators Michael Gough and Miles Millar who co-created the CW’s Smallville series.
