Mortal Kombat 2: Karl Urban Shows Off BTS Look

Following the end of the strikes, Mortal Kombat 2 is now filming, and Karl Urban shows off a behind-the-scenes look at the cast on social media.

“We’re back baby!” posted the actor who is playing Johnny Cage on Instagram where it looks as if he has blond hair/highlights.

The photo also features Ludi Lin who is back as Liu Kang and Mehcad Brooks who returns as Jax Briggs.

What is Mortal Kombat 2 about?

The cast also includes Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Martyn Ford as Shao Khan, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Damon Herriman as Quan Chi, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Max Huang as Kung Lao, CJ. Bloomfield as Baraka, with Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod and Ana Thu Nguyen as Sindel.

The film doesn’t have an official release date as of yet. Simon McQuoid also returns to direct following Mortal Kombat in 2021.

Plot details are unknown but thanks to leaked character descriptions, Mortal Kombat 2 sees Shao Khan, the emperor of Outerworld, killing King Jerrod, taking his throne, and turning his queen into an undead servant. Their daughter, Kitana, scarred for life after her father and mother are killed, seeks revenge.
