Warner Bros. has released a new batch of official stills from Mortal Kombat II, giving fans their best look yet at some of the key players joining the brutal tournament sequel.
The images showcase Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, and returning director Simon McQuoid on set, continuing to build anticipation for the film’s IMAX release on May 8, 2026.
First Look at Jade
Tati Gabrielle (Netflix’s You, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) wields her bo staff as Jade, appearing confident, deadly, and battle-ready in a dense jungle setting.
Jade, a fierce warrior loyal to Outworld and often tied to Kitana’s story in the games, makes her live-action debut in this sequel and looks to be a standout character based on the early footage and now, this still.

Kitana Strikes
Another striking image shows Adeline Rudolph (Resident Evil, Riverdale) as Kitana, fan in hand and ready for combat.
The fierce Outworld princess looks every bit the iconic warrior from the games, and her role is expected to be central to the sequel’s storyline.
Screenwriter Jeremy Slater previously said that Mortal Kombat II heavily centers around Kitana and Johnny Cage as major emotional and narrative anchors.

Director Simon McQuoid Returns
A behind-the-scenes photo captures director Simon McQuoid mid-discussion with a hooded character on set.
McQuoid, who directed the 2021 reboot, returns for the sequel with a much bigger scope and budget, calling the new installment a massive summer blockbuster that features more fights, emotional arcs, and exploration of the franchise’s many realms.
