Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have released a behind-the-scenes featurette for Mortal Kombat II during their panel at New York Comic Con, giving fans an early look at the brutal sequel ahead of its May 2026 release.
The featurette includes fresh footage, cast interviews, and a closer look at the film’s large-scale battles and upgraded visuals—emphasizing that this entry was “filmed for IMAX.”

First Look at the Action
The sneak peek highlights returning and new characters, including Johnny Cage (Karl Urban), Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada), and Noob Saibot (Joe Taslim), with glimpses of major fight scenes, including the highly anticipated Scorpion vs. Noob Saibot showdown.
The footage also teases the darker tone of the sequel, as Earthrealm’s champions prepare to face off against the forces of Shao Kahn, whose rise threatens to wipe out humanity.
