More Leonardo DiCaprio Joker fan art has hit the net, this time from artist Anurag Rai on Instagram.
It’s said WB is courting Martin Scorsese to produce the Joker origins movie in hopes that with Scorsese on board that Leonardo DiCaprio will play Joker, as reportedly Leonardo DiCaprio is hesitant about joining comic book movie franchises.
Details for the Joker origins movie include that it will be set outside of the Justice League movie and DCEU as part of a new standalone DC movie brand. The Joker in the origins movie has also been described as a “gritty crime boss in a Scorsese-esque Gotham underworld.”
Further potential details include: “It’s dark. It’s like a dark Joker. As a kid, he had a permanent smile and everyone made fun of him. It’s like on the streets of Brooklyn. It’s super dark and real.”
