Michael Keaton Speculated For Norman Osborn In Spider-Man: Homecoming

While it’s been said Michael Keaton is playing the villain, the Vulture, in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel Studios and Sony have yet to officially confirm the news.

The Hollywood trade web sites have confirmed Michael Keaton for a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but it appears the exact role is currently either based on speculation or a best guess.

Now it’s actually being put out there that Michael Keaton may be playing Norman Osborn in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

A reporter for Variety, who was first told about Keaton having a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, took to Twitter to reveal that Michael Keaton screen tested with young actors around the same age as Tom Holland, with the reporter guessing the young actors could be up for the role of Harry, which would mean Michael Keaton is playing Norman Osborn.

It’s not a bad guess as Robert Downey Jr. also screen tested with young actors, with Tom Holland nabbing the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. It’s possible Marvel is doing the same with Keaton for Harry Osborn.

If you think about it, Michael Keaton playing the head of Oscorp would be a pretty cool dynamic versus Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, and you have to admit seeing Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Michael Keaton as Norman Osborn together on screen would be darn epic.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” has a July 7, 2017 release also starring Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, with Zendaya, Laura Harrier and Tony Revolori in roles.
