Matt Damon Joins Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar; Did Ben Affleck Give A Helping Hand?



Matt Damon is reported to have joined the cast of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar in what is being described as a small undisclosed role.

IndieWire reports sources have informed them of Matt Damon’s involvement in Interstellar in that the actor will be shooting for two weeks in Iceland.

Interstellar recently began filming in Vancouver with set images and video of Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey becoming available.

The news of Matt Damon’s involvement with Interstellar comes at an interesting time as Christopher Nolan is said to have had a large hand at getting Damon’s good friend, Ben Affleck, the gig as the new Batman. In addition, Cosmic Book News has been told Matt Damon is being looked at for the Justice League movie. Recently, Arrow‘s Stephen Amell stated Nolan is still heavily involved in the direction of WB’s DC characters for movies and TV.

Interstellar has a November 7, 2014 release also starring Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Timothée Chalamet, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, Ellen Burstyn and Michael Caine.


The new script chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
