Marvel Studios Artist Never Saw Fox & Disney Deal Coming

Much like the fans out there, Marvel Studios artist Andy Park never saw the Disney and Fox deal coming, which means the X-Men, Deadpool, Fantastic Four and Wolverine characters will be coming to Marvel.

The big question is when, but Andy Park admits even he doesn’t know anything.

“That’s probably as much as I can say, ’cause there’s nothing really to say yet. At least beyond, ‘Wow,'” Andy Park told ComicBook.com. ‘That whole Disney buying Fox deal is- none of us saw that coming, and we’re amazed and excited, because we always dreamed of having the X-Men and Fantastic Four in the MCU, but nothing’s actually been decided or announced,. So, I have nothing to spill, ’cause I don’t even know what the future is. The only thing I’ve read … these thing are going to take at least 12 months to 18 months for something to even happen.”

The Disney and Fox deal still needs to get the okay from the Justice Department, but by all accounts it does seem as if the deal with go through.

As Andy Park notes, it is still too early for anything official, but Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has shown interest in Silver Surfer in addition to letting it be known that the Disney and Fox deal has not affected Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

Ryan Reynolds has also addressed the Disney and Fox deal by at first showing concern for the future of Deadpool, but then welcoming Disney to the fold

Just think, in a couple years time or so, we’ll probably be seeing Andy Park’s concept art surface of the X-Men paired with the Avengers in some form.
