Marvel has announced the release date and official title for the new Punisher special starring Jon Bernthal.
The project is titled A Marvel Television Special Presentation: The Punisher: One Last Kill and will start streaming May 12, 2026, exclusively on Disney+.
The news follows Marvel’s Wonder Man Season 2 announcement and also comes ahead of this week’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premiere on Wednesday, as Marvel Television keeps pushing out more Disney+ updates.

Marvel Reveals Punisher: One Last Kill
Marvel confirmed the announcement in a post on Marvel.com and released the first teaser poster. Jon Bernthal also shared the poster and release date on Instagram.
Marvel’s brief description keeps things simple and direct: “Welcome back, Frank.”
That marks Bernthal’s return as Frank Castle in what looks to be another darker street-level Marvel project tied to the current Disney+ push.
Returns As Frank Castle
Bernthal has become the definitive live-action Punisher for a lot of fans, so the return is a notable win for Marvel’s street-level corner.
The title One Last Kill also sounds like Marvel is leaning hard into the character’s brutal tone instead of softening him up for Disney+.
That will probably be the biggest thing fans are watching for when more details get released. The poster already suggests Marvel is going for a gritty and serious approach with Frank Castle front and center.
Bernthal is also slated to return as The Punisher in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, out July 31st.
