Following the Producers Guild Award, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige will also receive the BAFTA Los Angeles Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment.
BAFTA Los Angeles announced the news on Twitter.
“We are pleased to announce that this year’s recipient of the Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment is Kevin Feige, President of MarvelStudios,” BAFTA Los Angeles tweeted. “As this year’s recipient of the Broccoli, Kevin joins a roll of honorees that includes Sir Ben Kingsley, Will Wright, Kirk Douglas, Harrison Ford, Scott Free Productions and Dame Judi Dench, plus Marvel film alums Samuel L. Jackson and Sir Kenneth Branagh.”
The award ceremony takes place Friday, October 26 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel at the British Academy Britannia Awards, which will also see Steve McQueen receiving the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing, and Cate Blanchett will get the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film.
“Kevin has propelled the Marvel brand to new heights, harnessing the very best international talent, with an unprecedented track record of back-to-back success,” said BAFTA Los Angeles chairman Kieran Breen.
Kevin Feige is responsible for the past 20 films of the MCU that have made more than $17.6 billion at the box office including Iron Man, The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers: Infinity War, and Feige has Captain Marvel, The Avengers 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home in the works.
