It’s hinted that a lot more Justice League and related character movies are in the works at Warner Bros.
Long time Batman producer, Charles Roven, who also produced Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman and Justice League, offers that the future of the DC movie universe is going to be too large to handle by one producer.
“I think my role for the moment is to focus on those sequels,” Roven filled in Deadline about Wonder Woman 2 and Suicide Squad 2. “But, you know, a couple of years ago, I was a producer on all of the Justice League movies and their individual heroes movies. But it became very clear that in order to be a producer on those movies in the timeline that Warner Bros. wanted, it was way too big a job for one producer to oversee.”
So from the sounds of what Roven has to say, WB looks to be developing a lot of Justice League movies and rather quickly.
Known to be in active development at WB are DC movies for the above mentioned sequels, James Wan’s Aquaman, David F. Sandberg’s Shazam!, the Flashpoint movie, and the Matt Reeves Batman movie.
Other DC movies in the pipeline look to include Man of Steel 2, Nightwing, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Gotham City Sirens and numerous movies featuring Harley Quinn and the Joker.
The DCEU also recently was given new leadership in the form of Walter Hamada, known for developing hit movies at WB including IT and The Conjuring franchise.
Toby Emmerich has also been given total oversight of the WB movies.
