New details have become known about the Loki Disney Plus series, which sounds a lot like The CW DC Legends of Tomorrow TV show.
With the casting news of Gugu Mbatha-Raw, known for A Wrinkle in Time, in Loki, comes word that the series will follow Tom Hiddleston as a member of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a group that tries to govern the Multiverse.
According to scooper DanielRPK, the Loki Disney Plus series is about time travel with the TVA involved where it looks like the TVA captures Loki at first but then uses him to help them capture the villain.
It’s thought that Kevin Feige and Marvel have gender-swapped the leader of the TVA, Mister Authority, to Miss Authority, who Gugu Mbatha-Raw will be playing.
Owen Wilson has also been cast in Loki with Wilson thought to be playing Justice Peace, a lawman from the future who travels to the past to stop a villain.
The TVA was created back in 1986 to pay homage to long-time Marvel Comics writer/editor, Mark Gruenwald, who was considered an expert on the Multiverse, so all the members of the TVA were made to look like clones of Gruenwald.
If this all sounds somewhat familiar, it’s really close to DC Comics’ Rip Hunter and the Time Bureau who were featured in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and that created many years prior to the TVA.
DanielRPK even noticed the similarity as he tweeted: “So the show will turn Loki into a Time Agent. So this will be Marvel’s Legends of Tomorrow I guess.”

It could also be possible that the big villain of Loki could be none other than Kang the Conqueror.
Loki is now filming and looks to get released on Disney Plus Spring 2021; it’s also known the flick will directly tie into Doctor Strange 2.
