Lindsay Lohan has been taking to Twitter to drum up support to play Batgirl for Joss Whedon.
She asked her followers to retweetĀ if she should star in the new Batgirl movie and that everyone tell Joss Whedon.
Lindsay Lohan then followed that up with a second tweet featuring herself side-by-side an image of Batgirl Barbara Gordon.
Now it turns out she name dropped Batgirl while on theĀ The Wendy Williams Show and blamed not being able to audition for the part on her sordid past.
āI donāt like when people always bring up and rehash the past,ā Lindsay LohanĀ said. āThis is actually quite a long time ago if you think about it now, and Iād rather just stay focused on what I want to do next. Whenever people bring up the past things Iāve experienced and gone through ā like jail, working at the morgue, which is actually really traumatizing stuff; Iāve learned my lessons ā it distracts from actually maybe meeting with people to doĀ Batgirl, maybe doing aĀ Mean Girls 2. It really distracts people, and they only think about the negative and I donāt think thatās a way to move forward in life.ā
Here is the footage:
Joss WhedonĀ is currently developing Batgirl, in which he has said the role wonāt necessarily be going to a famous actress, soĀ if Lindsay Lohan was passed on for the role, it may not have anything to do with her previous behavior.
āI feel like I am creating this character. I am going to dialogue with her, and then weāll see who joins that later on,ā Whedon said last year.Ā āI doubt it will be a name. I think this is somewhere where you go and find Batgirl, then you cast her.Ā Iām not against movie stars. Theyāre great, but you need somebody who is going to be just right, and the situation like this, the name carries a lot of weight, so itās not as critical.ā
