Lex Luthor Is Scary in Batman Vs. Superman Says Jesse Eisenberg

[page_title]

Update: WB has launched a Lex Luthor viral marketing campaign.

If there was any question as to what kind of bad guy Lex Luthor will be in Batman Vs. Superman, Jesse Eisenberg offers up further evidence that this version of the Superman villlain will be none like previously seen on the big screen.

Talking with Vulture, Eisenberg reiterates Batman Vs. Superman‘s Lex Luthor will be different than the Richard Donner and Gene Hackman version, and even some of the comic books, which admittedly, have been a bit campy.

There is this trove of stuff about this guy. A lot of it’s repetitive, like he always winds up on the roof of his building giving some faux benevolent talk about how he’s going to change the city. It’s fun to take that campy cartoony stuff and try to put it into a real person and try to reconcile the two.

Eisenberg goes on to offer up a clue that Lex Luthor will come off as a bad guy, but just how so remains to be seen.

this movie is so different … it has real psychological underpinnings, and this movie character feels like a real scary person.”
