What Is Landman About?

Set in the boomtowns of West Texas, the series follows roughnecks, wildcat billionaires, and the high-stakes oil boom reshaping the economy and geopolitics.

In Season 2, as oil flows, secrets come to the surface. Thornton’s character Tommy Norris faces mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Moore’s Cami Miller, and family ties that won’t stay buried. The fight for survival in West Texas isn’t noble—it’s brutal, and something has to give.

Behind the Series

Landman is executive produced by Sheridan and a long list of collaborators, including David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Christian Wallace, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, Stephen Kay, Dan Friedkin, Jason Hoch, J.K. Nickell, and Megan Creydt. Tommy Turtle serves as co-executive producer.

The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution. Season 1 is available to stream now on Paramount+.
