Last night saw the shocking Season 1 finale of Kyrpton, and now SYFY releases a teaser for Season 2!
As seen in the episode, Brainiac was managed to be defeated, which stopped Kandor from being ripped out of Krypton, meaning in the future, Krypton never exploded!
Superman’s cape is then shown to be transformed into a cape with the House of Zod symbol, and General Zod is now in control!
In the original timeline, Brainiac was supposed to take Kandor as the removal of the city caused Krypton to explode 200 hundred years in the future, but since that didn’t happen, the Man of Steel as we know him is no more! Superman’s grandfather was sent into the Phantom Zone along with Brainiac!
Zod not only succeeded in stopping Brainaic from adding Kandor to his collection, but also stopped the destruction of Krypton, and also stopped the creation of his greatest foe – Superman – and brother! That’s right! Apparently Superman and Zod are half-brothers in the Krypton series.
The episode didn’t stop there as it finished with none other than Doomsday awakening and breaking out of his containment chamber. The future that Val-El said was going to be the worst has seemingly come to pass!
Great show (read the Season 2 announcement here)!
About Krypton:
Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe, The Halcyon) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
Based on DC characters, Krypton is executive produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight trilogy). Cameron Welsh (Ash vs Evil Dead) serves as executive producer and showrunner.
