Kevin Feige Wishes Jack Kirby Happy Birthday With Thor: Ragnarok Reveal

Happy 100th birthday to the king of comics, Jack Kirby!

Jack Kirby was born 100 years ago today on August 28, 1917! Jack Kirby is a legend amongst men having created many popular superheroes including none other than the god of Thunder himself, Thor! 

Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige took to Twitter to wish Jack Kirby a happy birthday and shared a new look at the Thor: Ragnarok logo.

“MCU wouldn’t exist without him,” Feige tweeted. “Thor: Ragnarok is an unbashed love letter to his vision. Happy birthday to the King. Eternal.”

Jack Kirby’s granddaughter also runs the Jack Kirby: The King of Comics Facebook page.

Thor: Raganarok has a November 3, 2017 release directed by Taika Waititi starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk/Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Sam Neill in an unknown role.
