Justice League: Epic Return Of Superman Teased By Geoff Johns

While we have yet to see Henry Cavill as Superman in any of the Justice League footage – after all the Man of Steel is dead, right? – DCEU co-runner Geoff Johns seemingly teases an epic return!

Geoff Johns took to Twitter to confirm that epic moments for Superman will be coming soon as he told fans to “get ready to revise your list” in regards to the best Superman moments–meaning more are going to happen and also that they will be better than what’s come before.

Last we saw of Superman he had sacrificed himself by killing Doomsday, and then the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice featured Superman’s coffin with the gravity seemingly being negated and the dirt lifting in the air.

It is known Superman will be featured in Justice League, but exactly how is unknown. There are lots of fan theories ranging from Superman returning with a black costume to Superman even being a bad guy under the control of Darkseid.

The only thing we really know is that Superman has been featured in promo artwork and images, and Mattel recently revealed the Justice League Superman action figure. In addition, I was able to “lift” a yet to be released image of Superman from the “Join The League” website (see below).

Geoff Johns could also be teasing epic moments for Superman in Man of Steel 2, which is currently in development and may even feature Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, as the actors have been teasing a Superman battle on social media. There has even been a rumor that Henry Cavill may appear as Superman in the Shazam! movie.

While the Man of Steel movie was received by about half the audience as sort of “iffy,” after watching what Geoff Johns and the DCEU did with Wonder Woman, I’m pretty sure they will be getting Superman right the next time around in Justice League and Man of Steel 2.

Now I can’t wait to see what epic Superman moments the DCEU has in store for us!
