The same applies to the movie industry as if you make a good film, the audience will show up to watch it.
Case in point is the Dwayne Johnson Jumanji movie, which has been rocking at the box office.
Jumanjiâs box office total now beats out Batman and Supermanâs Justice League.
In addition, Jumanji has been beating the snot out of Star Wars: The Last Jedi at the box office.
Jumanji has a current worldwide box office gross of $666,170,909 ($283,170,909 domestic), which beats out Justice Leagueâs $654,405,943 ($227,205,943 domestic).
Regarding comparisons to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, obviously Jumanji probably wonât beat The Last Jediâs total box office (simply because itâs a âStar Warsâ movie), but Jumanji has been out performing Star Wars: The Last Jedi in the U.S. on a day-to-day and a weekend basis. Â
Jumanji has topped Star Wars: The Last Jedi the two past weekends and previous to that nearly tied it.
This past weekend saw Jumanji clobber Star Wars: The Last Jedi with $27.035 million to $11.275 million.
Jumanji was also the #1 movie this past weekend (for the second week in a row), while Star Wars: The Last Jedi plummeted to a low of #6 at the box office.
