With Jon Bernthal set to appear in Daredevil Season 2 as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, it’s being reported Netflix and Marvel are now developing a spin-off series set to star the fan-favorite actor and character.
According to TV Line, it’s said Netflix is “this close” to pulling the trigger on the Punisher series.
While Bernthal has yet to debut as the Punisher, it’s noted the early buzz surrounding the Punisher’s appearance “is overwhelmingly positive.”
Assuming the Punisher series does get green lit (no-brainer, guys!), this would mark the six Marvel series on Netflix following Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders.
Jon Bernthal can first be seen as The Punisher when Daredevil season 2 premiers in its entirety on Friday, March 18th on Netflix.
