Joker Fire Movie Under Fire For Extras Treatment

Joker Fire Movie Under Fire For Extras Treatment

While it pays to be in Hollywood, apparently if you are an extra in the Joker movie, it doesn’t pay to be on set — especially if you need to use the bathroom.

It’s reported that extras taking part in a subway scene in the Joker movie were locked on a subway car for more than three hours in NYC, and that it got so bad, that people started urinating on the tracks.

TMZ reports the extras filming the scene in Brooklyn were locked in the train car and denied their break after two hours of work.

It’s said the extras started banging on the subway doors asking to be let out because people needed to use the bathroom, but they were not let out and kept inside, which saw the extras resort to urinating on the tracks through the small spaces between cars.

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) is said to have received a complaint about the incident about the break time violation and sent a rep to resolve the situation. SAG will continue to follow up and monitor the set, the report notes.

It’s also said that Warner Bros. is looking into the incident as well.

Set images and video of a subway scene have leaked online showing off some sort of riot scene.

Joker

Joaquin Phoenix Joker

The Joker origin movie centers around the iconic arch nemesis of Batman and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of a man disregarded by society is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale. The film follows the transformation of a struggling stand-up comedian to a full-blown criminal force of nature.

The movie also stars Robert DeNiro as a talk show host; with Deadpool 2’s Zazie Beetz playing a single mom who catches the interest of the man who will become the clown prince of crime; Marc Maron is the agent responsible for getting the Joker on DeNiro’s talk show, with the film also starring Frances Conroy and Josh Pais.

Joker has an October 4, 2019 release date.
