That’s all she wrote for Joker 2 as following the massive failure at the box office the flick will be available on VOD starting on Oct. 29.
Joker 2 only debuted a week and a half ago, so that means the film will be available only 25 days after its release.
The first Joker made a billion dollars. However, the same can’t be said about the sequel, which now holds the biggest second weekend drop ever for a comic book movie.
Joker 2 also has a catastrophic “D” CinemaScore. It’s Rotten Tomatoes score from the critics is at 33% and the score from fans is lower at 32%. We’ve also launched our own fan review site, Stinky Garbage, where Joker 2 is presently garbage.
On the dailies, and with the Monday holiday, Joker 2 also dropped to fourth place trailing behind Beetlejuice 2, Terrifier 3, and The Wild Robot.
Speaking of Terrifier 3, in the Battle of the Clowns, Art crushed the Joker. Terrifier 3 took the #1 spot at the box office this weekend and brought in $21M over the four day holiday weekend.
Joker 2? Less than $8 million, including making less than a million dollars on Monday when lots of people had off ($928,357) in only eleven days of being released.
I blasted the film in my review and my reaction video. I told my son you couldn’t even pay me to watch it. It’s that bad.
