Johnny Depp, Amber Heard Verdict Is In

The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard verdict is in as the jury has reached a decision regarding the actor’s $50 million defamation lawsuit against his former wife.

Johnny Depp will not be in court as Depp is in the UK with his band, but Amber Heard is said to be attending the verdict where she is countersuing her former husband for $100 million.

The trial has been going on for six weeks which saw spoilers for Aquaman 2 released.

The verdict is expected to be read at any moment. Watch below.

Update: The judge sent the jury back as they didn’t properly fill out a form in regards to the amount of damages which suggests they found in favor of Johnny Depp.

Update #2: The jury found unanimously in favor of Johnny Depp, and that Amber Heard acted with malice and her statements were false regarding the Washington Post op-ed, and that Depp has proven defamation.

Update #3: The jury awarded Johnny Depp $15 million and awarded Amber Heard in her countersuit $2 million.

“The disappointment I feel today is beyond words,” Heard said in a statement following the verdict. “I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.”
