Jessica Lange Returning For American Horror Story: Apocalypse

In addition to confirmations for Seasons 9 and 10, it’s confirmed that Jessica Lange will be returning for American Horror Story: Apocalypse, which is the title for Season 8.

“The story begins with the end of the world, and then our world begins,” Executive producer Alexis Martin teased to reporters with a smile at the Television Critics Association press tour.

Jessica Lange will be returning in American Horror Story: Apocalypse episode 6 as Constance Landon, the mother to Tate Landon (Evan Peters) who fathered the anti-christ baby, Michael Landon, in the first season; the episode will be directed by AHS’ Sarah Paulson; Cody Fern has also been cast as the grown up Michael.

Woodall also teased the plot for American Horror Story: Apocalypse by noting it is about the end of the “real world” and teased, “It’s very tangible. Is that cagey enough?”

Sarah Paulson also chimed in when reporters asked for clarification, “It’s the end of the world. It’s the biggest – sh-t! It’s the apocalypse in the truest sense of the word.”

American Horror Story: Apocalypse will crossover the first season’s “Murder House,” with the third season’s “Coven,” and Woodall said all the witches are invited to come back.

Sarah Paulson did offer she will be featured in the upcoming season mostly as her role from Coven, the witch Cordelia Foxx, and will briefly reprise as Murder House’s medium, Billie Dean Howard; Emma Roberts will also be back as the witch, Madison Montgomery.

American Horror Story: Apoclaypse premieres September 12 also starring Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson and newcomer Joan Collins.
