As expected, James Gunn has released a Superman trailer teaser and confirms the full trailer will be released on Thursday.
Gunn releases a super cool motion poster featuring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel in full costume. The poster also features a tease of the John Murphy music score, which features hints of the classic Christopher Reeve John Williams music from the Richard Donner films. Sunday marked the 46th anniversary of the release of Superman: The Movie.

The poster features the words “Look Up” as does the confirmation teaser featuring the new Man of Steel logo. It means hope, it means “look to the skies,” it means “Look up in the sky!” which is the opening line of both the radio and television programs in the 1940s and ‘50s Superman TV shows.
Gunn is said to be holding a big Superman press event today. Hopefully things are embargoed until the full trailer release on Thursday. Expect new details from interviews and such.
I gotta say it looks and sounds pretty awesome. I was a bit worried about the Superman trailer following reports it would be all about Krypto in addition to what Gunn is doing with Creature Commandos. I’m a lot more optimistic now. We’ll see.
This poster also looks a lot better than that first look image of David Corenswet. Here is the synopsis released:
“Superman,” DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC Universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.
