James Gunn Comments On Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Comic-Con Announcement

Moments ago, James Gunn, Chris Pratt and a special appearance by Josh Brolin, who plays Thanos, made an announcement at Comic-Con announcing that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will have a July 28, 2017 release.

James Gunn took to his Facebook page to offer the following:

So, anyway, just now at Comicon a filmed bit with me and Chris Pratt played where we announced the sequel to ‪#‎GuardiansoftheGalaxy‬, which we’re working on to release in theaters on July 28, 2017. Yes, I suppose this is ballsy, considering the film hasn’t even been released yet, but I guess I just can’t let go of that damn raccoon! Please go see Guardians of the Galaxy 1 in theaters next week. By the way, this photo has nothing to do with any of that – it’s from the LA Times Hero Complex story on me which I appreciate quite a bit.

Guardians of the Galaxy” has an August 1, 2014 release.
