[[wysiwyg_imageupload:1362:]]The casting call company for Iron Man 3 has revealed that they are looking for extras of Chinese descent.
Of course, fans of Iron Man 3 will note that the infamous IM villain, Mandarin, is of Chinese origin.
We also just learned that Ben Kingsley is in talks to portray the film’s villain.
One news outlet stated that Kingsley wouldn’t be playing the Mandarin, more a role closely related to the Extremis comic book story.
However, another revealed that Kingsley wouldn’t be the film’s main villain, but says there is still a chance he may play the Mandarin as the script is still being written.
Sounds like sort of a tug-of-war is going on, but with the news that Chinese extras are needed, for fans of the Mandarin appearing, this is certainly a promising sign.
The casting call also asked for people of Middle Eastern descent as well.
