Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar is back in theaters for its 10th anniversary, with a limited run in IMAX 70mm and IMAX Digital formats starting December 6th.
The re-release offers the opportunity to experience the film in the large-format presentation that highlights its visuals and sound design as Nolan intended.
Story and Cast
Set in a future where Earth is on the brink of collapse, Interstellar follows a team of explorers searching for a new home for humanity. Matthew McConaughey stars as Cooper, a pilot turned farmer who leads the mission, leaving behind his family to face the unknown.
The cast includes:
- Anne Hathaway as Dr. Amelia Brand
- Jessica Chastain as the adult Murph, Cooper’s daughter
- Michael Caine as Professor Brand, the mission’s architect
- Mackenzie Foy as the young Murph
- Matt Damon as Dr. Mann
Hans Zimmer’s score and the film’s portrayal of space travel and survival remain key highlights.
Box Office and Recognition
Interstellar earned $677 million globally during its initial release and won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. It is widely regarded as one of Nolan’s most ambitious works.
