Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2 has reached a staggering $1.04 billion at the worldwide box office, the second best for an animated movie. The film is only trailing Frozen 2’s $1.45 billion.
Monday update: Inside Out 2 will pass Frozen 2, as Inside Out 2‘s box office is now currently at $1.443M.
The sequel has blown past the first movies $858M gross in 2015. In its sixth weekend of release, Inside Out 2 continues to perform admirably as Friday saw the flick bring in $3.8M. It’s estimated the weekend will see a $12.5M gross, and that Inside Out 2 will be close to bringing in $600M domestically.
This billion dollar box office proves the strong connection the audiences have with the film, which is without that Hollywood message. This weekend has also seen Twisters explode and overperform at the box office that comes without that message.
