Idris Elba Teases Dark Tower

Idris Elba has taken to Twitter to offer a tease for the upcoming Dark Tower movie in which he plays The Gunslinger.

“I am Roland, son of Steven, son of Henry, true descendant of Arthur. And I have not forgotten,” Elba tweeted on Father’s Day.

Elba’s character in the books, Roland Deschain, is a descendant of King Arthur, and he uses the melted down metal of Excalibur for his guns.

The image Elba tweeted below out is also Arthur’s sigil (via avclub).

The Dark Tower has a February 17, 2017 release directed by Nikolaj Arcel also starring Matthew McConaughey as The Man In Black.
