Amazon has released the trailer for Heads of State, a new action-comedy starring John Cena and Idris Elba, set to hit Prime Video on July 2.
Rival Leaders on the Run
In the film, Cena plays the President of the United States, while Elba is the UK Prime Minister. Their public feud threatens to derail international relations, but things take a sharp turn when they become targets of a shadowy enemy. The two world leaders are forced to work together as they dodge assassins and fight to survive.
Joined by MI6
Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays Noel, an MI6 agent who partners with the reluctant duo. Together, they aim to stop a global conspiracy that threatens to bring down more than just their egos.
Trailer Teases Mayhem and Banter
The trailer is packed with action, one-liners, and explosions. Cena and Elba trade barbs over everything from movie roles to toy guns while chaos unfolds around them. It’s clear the film is leaning into their on-screen chemistry and comedic timing.
