Reportedly, things went so smooth in a meeting between Elba and Gunn that talks are quickly underway with Warner Bros. It has also been said that Iris Elba is the only choice to play Deadshot by Gunn, so assuming a deal can be worked out, it looks as if we have a new Deadshot.
Additional details said about Suicide Squad 2 include that Margot Robbie may return as Harley Quinn. The flick also gets released August 6, 2021 with filming said to start later this year. The reason why Will Smith can’t do the role has been said to be due to a scheduling conflict with other movies.
