It’s even been confirmed Channing Tatum returns as Gambit from Deadpool & Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman Teases Avengers: Doomsday Return With Jokes and Evasion

Meanwhile, the actor recently appeared on The View and was asked about the rumors. Interestingly enough, Jackman didn’t deny the rumors but only made jokes and teased that if he does appear, he’ll be clearing house:

I really can’t say much except when you say appear, more like dominate and destroy every other character.. I’m kidding [laughs]

Jackman continued and explained that even if he is set to return as Wolverine in Avengers: Doomsday, he wouldn’t say much:

And it becomes a one man show… I’m kidding… No, I really have nothing to add and if I did, I would find a really cool way to not say it but I have actually nothing to add… so that was uncool [laughs]

Hugh Jackman Recalls Nerve-Wracking Wolverine Audition

The View also asked Hugh Jackman about his first audition as Wolverine for the Fox Marvel movies.

Jackman is from Australia, so he needed a work visa to audition for the role in Los Angeles; however, while he was told everything would be all set, his second time auditioning, he didn’t have a work visa.

Jackman recounts how he was going through customs, and he was a nervous wreck. Customs noticed and flagged him and held him in a room for four hours, questioning why he was in the U.S. just days ago for one day and then back again.

Jackman says he broke down and told them he is auditioning for the role of Wolverine. Jackman says when the Custom Agents heard he was Wolverine, they exploded with disbelief and brought everyone in, saying, “It’s Wolverine!” After that, everything was fine with Customs.
