Henry Cavill quotes Superman for Blackout Tuesday, which is a day meant to show solidarity with the black community for social and political change after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
“‘There is a right and a wrong in the universe, and that distinction is not hard to make.’ Superman,” posted Henry Cavill on Instagram.
The quote is from Superman in the DC Comics Kingdom Come comic book.
Henry Cavill also posted: “#BlackOutTuesday #NormalizeEquality Lead, Teach, Learn, Involve, Evolve. Together let’s normalise equality.”
Justice League actors take part in “Blackout Tuesday”
Henry Cavill’s Justice League and Snyder Cut co-stars also got into the mix, as well as director Zack Snyder who posted a black image on the Vero app.
Gal Gadot, Ben Afflek, Jason Momoa, and Ray Fisher followed suit (Ezra Miller is not on social media).
“Now is the time for me to listen, learn, and most importantly, take action,” posted Affleck.
“Can’t wait to see this posted weekly by everyone protesting the senseless black on black crime that no one seems to care about,” Aquaman actor Jason Momoa posted on his Instagram.
