Henry Cavill has shared another update on his recovery and training for Highlander, posting a new set of images on social media along with a quote from the cult video game Planescape: Torment: “Endure. In enduring, grow strong.” — Dak’kon, Planescape: Torment
Training Through the Injury
The photos show Cavill continuing his training regimen while recovering from his ankle injury that delayed Highlander’s production. The actor can be seen working through rehab exercises and lifting, with the same determination he’s become known for in preparing for demanding physical roles.
The update echoes Cavill’s previous posts quoting William Ernest Henley’s Invictus, where he stressed resilience and focus in the face of setbacks. His choice of the Planescape: Torment line reinforces the theme of strength through perseverance.
It’s known Henry is a big gamer, as he is also developing the live-action Warhammer universe at Amazon. Planescape: Torment, released in 1999, is regarded as one of the greatest role-playing games ever made, praised for its philosophical writing and focus on endurance, identity, and the human condition, themes that line up with Cavill’s own journey.
First Look at the Highlander Look
The photos also give fans another glimpse of Cavill’s new hairstyle for his role as Connor MacLeod.
Stahelski’s reboot is expected to stay close to the emotional roots of the original while expanding the mythology of the Immortals, with Russell Crowe as Ramirez, Dave Bautista as Kurgan, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Jeremy Irons, Djimon Hounsou, Max Zhang, and WWE’s Drew McIntyre also joining the cast.
It’s also heavily borrowing from the popular Adrian Paul series.

Production Outlook
As reported, filming has been pushed back to early 2026 due to Cavill’s injury, though he’s made clear Highlander remains his top priority.
With his steady updates, Cavill seems determined to show fans that despite delays, he’s staying committed and pushing forward.
Highlander has no release date as of yet.
