Henry Cavill is excited to play Sherlock Holmes opposite Stranger Things and Godzilla‘s Millie Bobby Brown in the upcoming Enola Holmes movie.
Following yesterday’s news, the Superman actor took to social media to express his excitement.
“Very excited to play a character as fantastic as Sherlock Holmes and very very fortunate to be working with Millie Bobby Brown!” Henry Cavill posted on Instagram. “Millie, I will see you back in London soon sis! @MillieBobbyBrown #EnolaHolmes #SherlockHolmes.”

Details for the flick include that it follows the younger sister of Sherlock Holmes, Enola Holmes (Brown), where she is investigating the case of a missing teen whose father has been murdered. Bonham Carter is also said to be playing the mother role to Enola Holmes.
The Enola Holmes movie is based on the young adult book series by Nancy Springer.
Henry Cavill also recently posted a pic of his dog, Kal, named after Superman, on Instagram noting: “Spending some time in a familiar place where Kal is usually around, it’s just not the same without him. #Kal #AmericanAkita.”
