Henry Cavill Is Cooking: Could It Be For Wolverine?

In a series of social media posts, Henry Cavill reveals he’s cooking! Could it be to play Marvel’s Wolverine?!

Henry first posted that he’s cooking on social media with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine.

Deadpool & Wolverine release

In what may be no coincidence, on Thursday, July 25, which coincided with the Deadpool & Wolverine Comic-Con panel revealing the cameo actors—and just one day before the film’s release—Henry posted an image of himself cooking and reading a book.

“Doesn’t get much better than this!” he said, adding, “I’d like to thank Aaron Dembski-Bowden, Mother Nature, Matt the Gardener, coffee, and BBQ for allowing me to have this moment #IReadGood #NatureGreen #SmokingMeats.”

It’s possible that Henry might have actually been referring to playing Wolverine, rather than cooking, when he said, “It doesn’t get much better than this.”

Official look

Henry’s next post would be a week and a half later when he would reveal the first official look at his Wolverine.

“To be safe, I shaved the moustache off for this one. Just the moustache,” he joked referencing Superman in the Justice League movie.

That day, we would post what our Comic-Con insiders told us, that Henry Cavill is indeed in talks to play Marvel’s Wolverine.

Ryan Reynolds takes note

Now three days ago, Henry has posted that he is cooking for the second time,

“Sunday Shteak. Smoked on the Yoder and Seared on the Green Egg #BigAssTomahawk,” he said.

Ryan Reynolds saw the post on Instagram and even made a comment, teasing, “The CavillRine!”

It’s known that Reynolds is the one who came up with Henry’s nickname in Deadpool & Wolverine, “The Cavillerine.”

What else does Henry Cavill have cooking?

Henry will be starring in The Highlander reboot which is supposed to start filming next year in Scotland with John Wick director Chad Stahelski.

IMDb also lists Henry Cavill is in pre-production on Steve Falk’s The Rosie Project, described as: An unlucky-in-love university professor creates an elaborate questionnaire in an effort to find a wife and meets an unconventional woman who doesn’t match any of his “requirements”, but might be the perfect woman for him.

He’s said to be back for Netflix’s Enola Holmes 3 as Sherlock Holmes, which stars Millie Bobby Brown. He’s also said to have finished filming on In the Grey, Guy Ritchie’s latest movie about which revolves around two extraction specialists who have to designate a route of escape for a senior female negotiator, which also stars Eiza González, and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Let’s not also forget that Henry has a bun in the over. He’s announced he is going to be a father.

What about the Warhammer series?

Things have been real quiet regarding Henry’s Warhammer series that he is supposed to be developing at Amazon Prime Video.

Actually, there’s rumors it’s not even going to happen as it is claimed Henry wants to keep Warhammer close to the source material (he’s a huge fan) but various execs want to go a different route.

The franchise is taking a lot of heat from fans for going woke, so as we seen with The Witcher, it could very well be that Henry won’t do Warhammer if it doesn’t meet his high standards. It could also leave him room to play the MCU’s new Wolverine.
