He-Man Gets A 40th Anniversary Masters of the Universe Figure From Mattel

He-Man gets a 40th Anniversary Masters of the Universe action figure from Mattel as the franchise debuted back in 1982.

“Celebrate 40 years of the most powerful man in the universe with our Anniversary Edition He-Man!” Mattel posted on the Masters of the Universe social media. “With 30 points of articulation, now YOU have the power! He-Man comes with swappable hands and his iconic shield, axe and Power Sword. This unique packaging design leans into the 40th with exploding red lava rocks, red burst streaks, blue starry sky, and redesigned ‘vintage’ Masterverse logo.”

Mattel adds, which is contained on the back of the box art, “40 years ago, Mattel created Masters of the Universe – a world of space and sorcery, of fantasy and technology, and of He-Man, the hero who inspired children to discover the power within themselves.”

He-Man first appeared in action figure form and the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe popular cartoon from the ’80s, which has spawned many additional action figures, animated series, and movies, with a film now in the works for Netflix starring Kyle Allen in the role.

Popular characters include Skeletor, Man at Arms, Teela, the Sorceress, Battle Cat, Beast Man, Moss Man, Orko, Evil-Lyn, Trap Jaw, Panthor, and lots more, so maybe a few will also get the 40th Anniversary treatment from Mattel.
