It's no secret that DC and WB are expanding their use of Harley Quinn as spinoff movies are in the works and an animated series is coming to the DC Universe digital streaming service.
On the movie side of things, presently in development is the Margot Robbie Harley Quinn Birds of Prey movie, with other flicks said to include Suicide Squad 2, a Joker and Harley film, David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens, and it is even speculated that the character might be featured in the standalone Joaquin Phoenix Joker origins movie.
So that is a lot of Harley Quinn, and it is now rumored that WB wants to release a Harley Quinn movie every year as a reported leaker on Twitter shared the info when responding to a tweet that David Ayer posted with none other than Paul Dini, who is a legend in the comic book and animated businesses that created the character.
"Had a nice visit with Paul Dini," David Ayer posted on Twitter.
A fan then commented questioning if Paul Dini was going to be involved with Gotham City Sirens, which saw the Twitter leaker offer, "They want a Harley Quinn movie EVERY YEAR so it's possible."

Paul Dini is known for writing a plethora of DC comic books including the Gotham City Sirens comic, and of course is also known for writing Batman: The Animated Series where Harley first appeared. DC animation has done such an awesome job throughout the years, maybe they are bringing Paul Dini on for support?
