Rob Liefeld is taking another comic book character to the big screen with Avengelyne, and Margot Robbie happens to be in talks to play the character.
Liefeld created Avengelyne back in 1995 who is an angel that fights evil forces and demons.
The details include that Warner Bros. is currently negotiating a seven figure film rights deal with Liefeld, who created Marvel’s Deadpool, Cable, and more.
According to Deadline, involved with the project is Margot Robbie who is eyed to star as Avengelyne subject to the script.
Olivia Wilde is directing, and Tony McNamara will write the script who recently penned Poor Things and Cruella.

Robbie’s production company is also producing along with Simon Kinberg who produced the Fox Deadpool movies, Logan, and recent X-Men films.
The deal follows Robbie’s billion dollar Barbie movie from last year that took the world by storm and comes before Deadpool & Wolverine gets released in July, expected to be the biggest movie of the year.
Margot Robbie also starred as DC’s Harley Quinn, but she seems done with that role as James Gunn’s reboots with the DCU and with Lady Gaga playing the character in Todd Phillip and Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker sequel.

Avengelyne is an angel who fights the forces of evil and often finds herself face-to-face with demons and monsters. She was the most feared warrior in Heaven’s Warhost, having single-handedly broken into Pandemonium, the outer fortress of Hell, to confront the Devil himself. She is a fallen angel, banished from Heaven by God after being tricked into questioning his love for humans. Avengelyne was stripped of all her angelic abilities, other than her great strength and her blood, which, once extracted from her body, could be used as a weapon or a miracle, when it is empowered by quoting verses from the Bible.
