Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Timeline Confirmed

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Timeline Confirmed

The end of The Avengers: Infinity War saw a majority of Marvel heroes turn to dust courtesy of the Great Titan Thanos, which included members of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel Studios has The Avengers 4 coming up, which will offer a conclusion, but additional movies have already been announced that follow, including Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

A costume designer recently basically confirmed where Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 occurs in relation to The Avengers 4, and now following Chris Pratt having teased that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 might be a prequel, director James Gunn dispels the notion and confirms its timeline.

“It will be after,” James Gunn replied on Twitter to the question if Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will take place before or after The Avengers 4.

While Marvel Studios has yet to officially announce the cast for Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Chris Pratt did state he is coming back along with Mantis actress Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista has said he will be back as Drax, and Rocket Raccoon also survived The Avengers: Infinity War, as did Nebula.

So it’s now not a question of if the Marvel heroes will come back in The Avengers 4, but how.

James Gunn did previously also state that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will be the last iteration of the current team as well.

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 looks to start filming in January for a 2020 release.

The Avengers 4 hits May 3, 2019.
