James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is a resounding success!
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 looks to have a $145.049 million domestic U.S. opening, with a current gross of $427,649,000 worldwide!
The $145 million number is a 54% increase over the first movie as well!
The first Guardians of the Galaxy movie finished with a U.S. gross of $333,176,600 and a worldwide gross of $773,328,629, so we see the second movie is moer than half way there.
The reviews are a bit lower at Rotten Tomatoes this time around for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 at 81%, but no worries there as fans are loving the movie.
Our own review for the film gave it high remarks as Lawrence recommends to: “See this film. See it in IMAX. See it with friends and family.”
I was also happy with the movie.
James Gunn is already working on Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
