As we head into the holiday season, the GTA 6 trailer is on every gamer’s mind. Next week marks the one year anniversary since the release of the first trailer.
Recent rumors include a big announcement could be coming from Sony, and that fans may have unearthed a new logo.
Some gamers actually thought the GTA 6 trailer was going to be released on Nov. 22 because of the “moon theory.” However, that seemed to be saved for the Tyson vs. Paul fight.
The next big guess seems to be an announcement from Sony on December 3rd which might also tie into a potential big update for GTA Online on Dec. 10 and the Game Awards being held on Dec. 12.
Rumors claim Rockstar and Sony struck a deal for GTA 6
Regarding the rumored Sony announcement, it’s claimed by at least two sources that Rockstar and Sony struck a deal for Sony to exclusively market GTA 6 on the PS5.
The details include it said that the exclusive marketing arrangement will be announced with the release of the second GTA 6 trailer and that the GTA 6 trailer will be released in December during the Game Awards. Leakers claim Sony will use GTA 6 for “heavy marketing” on the PS5 pro, as well.
It’s also claimed the Sony announcement could happen Dec. 3 and also that some sort of new PlayStation event is happening soon.

What is the new logo?
The Rockstar and Sony partnership rumor also offers when the second GTA 6 trailer drops, it will feature the PlayStation logo.
Interestingly, fans on Reddit have posted what could be a new Rockstar Games logo for the GTA 6 trailer.

What is the GTA Online December Update?
Rockstar Games has already confirmed an “exciting new update” for GTA Online coming in Decembers; so the GTA 6 trailer could be used to promote the update as it has done in the past.
The December update for GTA Online introduces new gameplay at the Darnell Bros Garment Factory, where players will take on strategic robberies with the help of key characters like Pavel and a former FIB officer. The update also includes new Dispatch Work missions, vehicles, upgrades to the Job Creator, and enhancements for the Benefactor Terrorbyte, such as a Collectible Scanner for locating hidden treasures.
As pointed out by X user GTA 6 Countdown, the GTA 6 trailer teaser could be released on Black Friday, with the full GTA 6 trailer released December 3rd, following by the GTA Online update on Dec. 10.
Last year, R* took advantage of Trailer 1 to boost the new GTAOnline update that came out on December 12.
